Many companies have not prioritized the importance of the call for responsible AI. Forbes states, “Only 25% of companies say that they definitely prioritize considering the ethical implications of an AI solution before investing in it, according to research by PwC.” Companies such as Amazon, Facebook, Google, DeepMind, Microsoft, and IBM, are coming together to take a stand – founding the Partnership on Artificial Intelligence to Benefit People and Society. This is an important shift towards prioritizing responsible AI.
